One More Day and Counting!

Shew One more day. I can do it! My son, who goes to school in the county we live, has 2 more days. My youngest son and I giggle about it in the car but we won't dare say anything to him because in the words of my three year old "he will bes mean to us". So I know if my friends in this county can make it two more days, I can make it one.

On to our Thanksgiving Placemats! The idea came from The First Grade Parade but I changed the turkey because I was running out of time! I was searching pinterest and found a website that used coffee filters and markers. I for the life of me now can't find it, actually I couldn't find it again the second I closed out of it! If someone know where I found this please let me know! The worksheet was also one of those once I found it I never found it again. I have the packet at school and I will look into where I found it more tomorrow!! Anyway, I think they turned out pretty cute and I wanted to share them.

The kiddies must know how I love to show off their work because when I handed them out today they all said "Why aren't you hanging them?!" I had to explain how I wanted their families to see them for Thanksgiving. They were excited they could eat on them and it would be ok.

Stay Strong Ladies! One (or Two) more day's to go!!

Thanksgiving Thankfuls

Here I go! I'm attempting my first Linky! :) So if you know me, which I know no one really does yet, you'll know I am not really a touchy feely kind of person. It's how I was raised. We didn't do a lot of talking and hugging in my household. (Don't worry it just added to the list of things to tell my therapist. ;p ) But I since I have been keeping a list to myself of the things I'm thankful for I'll go ahead and list some for you guys now.

1. My husband and kids. Even though most of the time they drive me INSANE I still so think each of them has given me something to make me a better person. My husband because if it weren't for him I don't think I'd have ever been able to finish my teaching degree. My oldest because he made me grow up and realize I needed to get my booty in gear. And my youngest because he never stops making me laugh. The kid's going to be the next Larry the Cable Guy I tell ya!

2. I am thankful for my first grade team. Last year was my first year and it was tough. It was in third grade and was a mess, but this year is great AMAZING! They are the best group of ladies and have really made me feel welcomed. I am so glad to have met them and to work with them every day! They really make it worth coming to work.

3. My best friend, Jenn. She is not only my best friend but my cousin so she can NEVER lose me! :) She's the kinda gal who is ALWAYS there for you and who will even sit in row Z with you just to catch a glimpse of Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean. I lush her to the moon and back!

There are more but I'll keep them in for now, can't open the feelings flood gate all at one time now can I?! :) Happy Thanksgiving! Gobble Gobble!!

Thanksgiving Craziness

Thanksgiving is not far away and there is so much I want to do! In fact I've actually had to stop looking at Thanksgiving activities because I only have one more full week and two days before break. I'm running out of time!! I am going to attempt to upload a game I use with sight words.

This one can also be used for  math problems. On the template just write the words or problems you'd like. This one went home this week! I have so much to fit in! Gobble Gobble Yours for the taking!

I am new to making things and I'm excited to open up this whole new world! Have a great Friday!!

I'm Here!

Hello Blogging World!! I am new to blogging but have been a blog stalker for a while! I loved reading everyone's blogs and thought I have so much to say! Sometimes it will be ramblings (sorry for that in advance) and other times just to share what happened in my day. I have also recently started to learn how to make things to share with everyone. Hey I figure go big or go home right?! A little about me I am a first year first grade teacher and I LOVE IT! The kids are so much fun and I just feel like this is what I meant when I said I wanted to be a teacher! I have two boys and a husband which often makes me feel like I have three kids. I have a dog who I often feel is the only one who understands me in the house. I also love pink..just a tidbit! Anywho, I just wanted to introduce myself, but I have to run because the heating people will be here in an hour and I've gotta do the flight of the bumble bee to pick up! Happy Saturday! And feel Free to Follow me! :)

By the way a BIG thank you to http://fallingintofirst.blogspot.com/ for helping me get started!!!
